Trauma Sensitive Stretching and Strengthening Series

Trauma Sensitive stretching and strengthening is a movement and breath practice that helps facilitate healing from going stress, PTSD or Trauma. This series is for those seeking a body based intervention and would like to focus on healing and mending nervous systems. Through stretching and strengthening, participants will have the opportunity to explore present moment awareness while noticing muscular sensations and making choices based on what they feel. The series is set up so participants are in control over what they are doing with their own body and the facilitator is there to provide safe, professional guidance. We strive to make these sessions available to everyone regardless of physical ability. There are NO Hands on Assists. The sessions are gender netual and are facilitated by Keri Sawyer, RYT 500 Certified TC Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and trainer.

The modality used is Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) developed by the Trauma Center in Boston MA. TCTSY is a body based adjective treatment for complex and developmental trauma and is the only yoga intervention accepted by SAMSHA and NREPP.
