Openview Yoga 

These gentle hatha yoga practices are for women who have on going stress, Trauma or PTSD. The series consists of gentle movements, simple postures and breath awareness. Though out the sessions, participants will have an opportunity to explore moving, breathing, strengthening, stretching, and resting. Participants will have an opportunity to notice sensations in their body and make choices based on what they feel. This series is set up so that participants are in control over what they are doing with their body at all times and the facilitator is there to provide safe, professional guidance. Everything in the session is optional and it is beginner friendly. We strive to make the series accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability. There are NO hands on assists. Facilitated by Keri Sawyer, RYT 500 TC Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and trainer 

The modality used is Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). TCTSY is a body based intervention developed by the trauma center in Boston MA. It is an evidence based adjective treatment for complex or developmental trauma and is the only yoga based intervention accepted by SAMSHA and NREPP. Based in movement and breath practices, TCTSY can help facilitate the healing process and mend nervous systems.

TCTSY Privates are one on one sessions for adults, adolescents or pre-teens struggling with Complex/developmental trauma and/or PTSD. Our private sessions offer  clients a safe environment to start to explore a felt sense of their body through noticing muscluar dynamics, practice making choices, having opportunities to practice taking effective action, and creating rhythms. During private sessions we can experiment with moving, breathing, strengthening, stretching, and resting. With certified professional guidance, we offer a safe and predicable environment with NO hands on assists.

The Body knows how to exist only in the present moment - This practice focuses on the art of staying present while moving slowly and energizing your body. Participants can gain strength, flexibility, stability and balance along with a greater understanding of alignment, yoga asanas and embodiment while moving. Suitable for all levels, from those who want to add more mindfulness to their practice, to those who want to sweat and to those who want to learn something new.
