The body knows how to exist only in the present moment - this practice focuses on the art of staying present while moving slowly and flowing though yoga asanas. Students can gain stregnth, flexibility, and balance while mindfully embodied and making choices based on what they feel in thier own body. This practice is suitable for all levels and is trauma informed. 

The facilitator will be online live with you in every session. For a great online experience you might choose to have a yoga mat, 2 blocks, and a blanket along with a strong Wifi connection.

Trauma Sensitive Stretching and Strengthening

Trauma Sensitive stretching and strengthening is a movement and breath practice that helps facilitate healing from going stress, PTSD or Trauma. This series is for those seeking a body based intervention and would like to focus on healing and mending nervous systems. Through stretching and strengthening, participants will have the opportunity to explore present moment awareness while noticing muscular sensations and making choices based on what they feel. The series is set up so participants are in control over what they are doing with their own body and the facilitator is there to provide safe, professional guidance. We strive to make these sessions available to everyone regardless of physical ability. There are NO Hands on Assists. Facilitated by Keri Sawyer, RYT 500 Certified TC Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and trainer

The modality used is Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) developed by the Trauma Center in Boston MA. TCTSY is a body based adjective treatment for complex and developmental trauma and is the only yoga intervention accepted by SAMSHA and NREPP.

Embodied Healing is a gentle hatha yoga practice for women who have on going stress, Trauma or PTSD. The series consists of gentle movements, simple postures and breath awareness. Though out the sessions, participants will have an opportunity to explore moving, breathing, strengthening, stretching, and resting. Participants will have an opportunity to notice sensations in their body and make choices based on what they feel. This series is set up so that participants are in control over what they are doing with their body at all times and the facilitator is there to provide safe, professional guidance. Everything in the session is optional and it is beginner friendly. We strive to make the series accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability. There are NO hands on assists. Facilitated by Keri Sawyer, RYT 500 TC Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and trainer

TCTSY Privates are one on one sessions for adults, adolescents or pre-teens struggling with Complex/developmental trauma and/or PTSD. Our private sessions offer  clients a safe environment to start to explore a felt sense of their body through noticing muscluar dynamics, practice making choices, having opportunities to practice taking effective action, and creating rhythms. During private sessions we can experiment with moving, breathing, strengthening, stretching, and resting. With certified professional guidance, we offer a safe and predicable environment with NO hands on assists.
