This summer, I invite you into a healing journey of self-awareness and empowerment through a specially crafted Trauma Sensitive Yoga video series: Connect, Befriend, Reclaim Your Body.

 

Designed to meet you where you are, these pre-recorded sessions offer a compassionate space to explore mindful movement, body awareness, and grounding—without the pressure of being in a studio or sticking to a schedule. Whether you're at home, on the road, or immersed in summer adventures, you can stay connected to your practice and yourself.

 

Module 1: Connect with Your Body

 

“Connection to our bodies matters.”

 

In this foundational module, we focus on cultivating presence and body awareness through mindful breath and movement. Instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, this practice invites us into the here and now—into connection with how we’re truly feeling, and how we’re showing up.

 

By learning to connect to ourselves, we deepen our ability to form meaningful connections with others. This module lays the groundwork for a gentler, more attuned relationship with the body as a vital form of self-care and emotional wellbeing.

 

Module 2: Befriend Your Body

 

“Befriending the body means embracing it with curiosity and kindness.”

 

What does it mean to befriend your body? This module explores that question through gentle, trauma-sensitive Hatha yoga practices that encourage curiosity, compassion, and self-inquiry.

 

Rather than pushing or judging, we create space to notice what feels useful, accessible, or even nourishing within our own unique experience. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s presence. These sessions open the door to body appreciation, awareness, and maybe even a growing sense of trust in your own body’s wisdom.

 

Module 3: Reclaim Your Body

 

“Reclaim your body, your strength, your power.”



This empowering module focuses on restoring agency and embracing your personal power through movement. Each session invites you to notice what feels strengthening and supportive in the moment, and how you can shape your practice to reflect your needs—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

 

Reclaiming your body on the mat means choosing what feels right for you, in your body, at your own pace. Through these practices, you’ll begin to rebuild confidence, autonomy, and resilience—one breath, one movement at a time.
